Five Points Bakery

Five Points Bakery supports local farmers and our community with fresh, local, 100% whole grain products, made from wheat, stone ground on site.  But, it starts in the field, with farmers.  From the farm, we create local and seasonal bread, pastries, and pizzas for you to bring to the table.  It has been called “completing the circle of sustainable agriculture.”  At Five Points Bakery we work hard to find the farmers that fit with us best.  We believe in the personal relationships forged with farmers, thus, putting a face to the foods we consume.  This can broaden our community, empowering us to make better choices for ourselves and one another.  This community goes beyond location; it reaches out to a group of people who believe in clean, fair, honest food.  By purchasing locally we create a system in which farmers get a fair price for their crops and can continue sustainable farming practices.  It also enables us to be more self-reliant and therefore more secure in the way in which we feed ourselves. 

Our Share Program provides our community with a tool to invest directly in sustainable agriculture, and it reduces waste, by knowing how much to bake.  The share program follows the seasons, each season being 13 weeks long, with our summer share starting June 18th.  Our products are priced in $5 units, and a single share is 1 unit per week for 13 weeks, or $65.    You place a standing order when you sign up and can change it during the season, with a weeks notice.  Pick up is on Thursdays between 12 and 6 at the bakery.   If you plan to be away for part of the season, you can get credit for in store purchases or let a friend pick up your share.  For those living outside the city, pickup points can be arranged for groups of 10 or more members.

We are a small family bakery and prefer to keep our operation sustainable.  Therefore shares are limited. Don’t hesitate to call or write with questions.
