Gourmet Sorbet & Soup Company

Gourmet Sorbet & Soup Company is a new business that was founded in March of 2009, by three innovative chefs from the Buffalo area: Uriah K. Nunn, David Zelak and Amy King. The three of us have worked at many of the area’s best restaurants over the years, but now have come together to develop flavors and ingredient combinations that stimulate the taste buds and challenge the imagination; concepts that break new culinary ground.
We strive to use produce grown in this area to utilize ingredients at their peak of flavor and freshness. Therefore having a seasonal menu was a must. We all decided that the farmers market would be the best place to get our business started, and an ideal place to forge relationships with local farmers.
In the fall we plan on offering hot soups at the market as well. As the season changes we will be creating new recipes inspired by the local ingredients. Sustainability and organic farming are also of great importance to us. Our packaging is made out of cornstarch and is biodegradable. We also compost all vegetable scraps and use organic ingredients for many of our recipes, as they often have better flavor.
