O'Connor Family Farm

The O’Connor Family Greenhouse is located on Route 18 (Lake Road) between Dickersonville Road and Ransomville Road. Tom and Wendy started their greenhouse business in 1980 with one greenhouse. Now, the O’Connor family has nine greenhouses, where they grow almost all of their own plants. The first greenhouse starts up in February each year. In the early days of the business their children Mike, Julie, Matt and Jen always helped out, in addition to various aunts, uncles and friends. Now Mike helps full-time.
The O’Connor Greenhouses grow bedding plants in both flats and pots. Some the plants include geraniums, petunias, impatiens, begonias, lantana, euphorbia, veggies and many more. They try to grow some of the more unusual plants to keep things interesting for the customers and themselves. They also grow many different size baskets and mixed combos.
As perennials become more and more popular each year, they grow a very wide variety in different sizes. Mike & Colette, and there friend Crystal really enjoy being at the Elmwood-Bidwell Farmers Market every Saturday, where they sell a wide variety of baskets, flats of flowers, pots of many different kinds of annual flowers, large pot tomatoes and other vegetable plants.
