Rich Erdle Farm

Our customers know us for our beautiful blueberries!
Our pick-your-own blueberry season begins July 10, and runs until Labor Day weekend. Our farm is located on Hanford Road, just east of Silver Creek, and one mile south of Routes 5 & 20. We can also be found at the Elmwood-Bidwell Farmers' Market every Saturday during season. We raise a dozen different blueberry varieties so there is always a continuous supply of berries at their peak of flavor.
In addition to our four acres of blueberries, our farm has 20 acres of Concord and Niagara grapes. They were planted in the early 1900s and each fall our grapes make the trip to Westfield, New York, to become delicious Welch's grape juice. Welch's is a cooperative of grape producers, of which we are grower/owners.
We also raise four acres of wine grapes for Presque Isle Wine Cellars in North East, PA. They sell our freshly pressed juice to home wine makers and also ferment our grapes into some excellent late harvest wines under the Presque Isle label. We also grow several flavorful table grapes varieties which we offer at Elmwood-Bidwell after our blueberry season ends, along with honey from the bees that pollinate our berries.
Our family farm has long followed sustainable farming practices as set out by Cornell University and the National Grape Cooperative. We cultivate our fruit with the intent of having the smallest environmental impact, while utilizing integrated pest management. With blueberries and Concord grapes being the healthiest food on earth, we strive to produce the best tasting fruit possible, while enriching the land for our next generation of fruit growers.
