Tom Tower's Farm
For many long-time patrons of the Elmwood-Bidwell Farmers Market, the season doesn't really start until the iconic Tom Tower's Farm truck appears at the corner of Bidwell and Elmwood. Tom Tower's Farm is a family business that is nearly 200 years-old. Though famous throughout the region for his peaches, Tower is no ordinary fruit grower. He complements an exceptional array of high quality local produce with a dedication to agricultural diversity and a deep knowledge of the industry. Besides peaches, Tower sells other fruits as well as over 25 varieties of heirloom tomatoes.
Tower's educational and research efforts include programs for area children who frequently visit his Youngstown-Lockport Road farm, annual hosting of foreign students to study his business, ongoing experimental agricultural programs with Cornell University, guest visits to foreign countries, college lecturing and more.
